Signing In and Onboarding

Easel uses Google authentication with your @iiitn.ac.in account. There is no separate Easel password. The first time you sign in you also need an invite code.

Signing in for the first time

1. You receive an invite code by email. Open the email and click the link. It opens Easel and fills in your invite code for you.

   If you are typing the code yourself instead, open the invite page and enter all 12 characters across the three boxes.

2. When the code is accepted, the Continue with Google button becomes active. Select it.

3. Choose your institute Google account, the one ending in @iiitn.ac.in, and complete the Google sign-in. If you are signed in to more than one Google account, take care to pick the institute one.

After this first sign-in, you go straight to Easel each time you visit, as long as you are still signed in to Google.

Onboarding

Onboarding is a one-time step that records a few details about you.

If your onboarding is not finished, a Complete profile prompt appears next to your profile picture in the top right. Select it to open the form, fill it in, and submit. Once submitted, you have full access.

What the form asks

Faculty are asked for their department and designation.

Students are usually detected automatically from their institute email and skip this step. If your details cannot be read from your email, you are asked for your department, joining year, and roll number.

Tip

Admin accounts do not go through onboarding.
