Easel is the academic platform for IIIT Nagpur. It brings your courses, course material, announcements, assignments, attendance, timetables, discussions, faculty information, and an AI assistant into one place.

Easel is in open beta. Some screens and controls depend on your role and on the courses your account has access to, so what you see may differ from a classmate or a colleague.

You need two things:

  • An @iiitn.ac.in Google account.
  • An invite code, if your account has not been set up yet.

There is no separate Easel password. You sign in with Google.

Next: Signing In and Onboarding.

Once you are signed in, the top navigation bar is the same on every page.

Item What it opens
Courses Your courses. Each course holds its Stream, People, Files, Timetable, and Attendance. This is where most of your work happens.
Library The shared academic resource library, for material that is useful across courses rather than tied to one class.
Community Platform-wide discussion: questions, conversations, and shared resources that do not belong to a single course.
Ask The AI assistant. Ask a question in plain language and get an answer drawn from institute documents, with sources.
Faculty Faculty profiles and their academic records.

A More menu holds Feedback and About.

Your profile picture, top right, opens a menu with your profile, a text size setting, sign out, and, depending on your role, a shortcut to Manage Groups or the Admin Panel. If your onboarding is not finished yet, a prompt to complete it appears here.
