Roles and Permissions

Easel has three roles: Student, Faculty, and Admin. Your role is set on your account and decides which controls you see. This page is the one place that lists who can do what. Other pages link here instead of repeating it.

Within a course, “faculty” means the people who teach or run that course. A faculty member has student-level access in courses they are enrolled in rather than teaching.

If something you should have access to is missing

Section titled “If something you should have access to is missing”

Access follows your role and your academic context, and you do not normally configure it yourself. If a course, file, or other item you expect is not showing, contact the relevant faculty member or an Easel administrator.
