Sharing Course Files
Each course has a Files area where students find lecture notes, lab material, and reference material. Organizing it into clear folders means students can predict where things are.
Open the course files
Section titled “Open the course files”Open the course and select Files. Faculty see New folder and Add resource controls here; on the Stream tab the same action is Add resource.
Add a resource
Section titled “Add a resource”- Select Add resource.
- Choose how to add it:
- Upload: upload a file from your computer.
- Add Link: paste a URL and give it a display name, for material hosted elsewhere.
- My Files: pick a file you already keep in your My Files library. This references the file without uploading another copy.
- Choose the destination folder.
- If the course has lab batches, set the audience: Whole class or a single batch. Batch items are only visible to students in that batch.
- Confirm.
Organize into folders
Section titled “Organize into folders”Select New folder to create a folder. You can rename or delete folders and files later from the same view. Deleting a file that came from My Files removes it from the course only; the original in My Files is untouched.
