Create an assignment

Assignments are posted from a course’s Stream. See Posting to the Stream for the create steps: title, instructions, points, due date, optional scheduling, audience, and attachments.

An assignment that was scheduled for later shows a Publish now button so you can release it early. Edit and Delete are also here. Deleting removes every student’s submission and all attachments, and cannot be undone.

Review and grade submissions

Section titled “Review and grade submissions”
  1. Open the assignment from the Stream.
  2. The Submissions panel lists students, with a count of each status (Assigned, Turned In, Graded, Missing). Submissions turned in after the due date are marked late.
  3. Select a student to open the grading panel.
  4. Enter the points awarded and any feedback.
  5. Save the grade, or return the submission for edits so the student can change it and turn it in again.

Students see their marks and feedback on the same assignment page once you save.
